Having been institutionalized 15 years prior with a case of severe amnesia, a man’s only hope for a normal life lies with one final testing of a new drug.  Doctors hope to recover his long lost memories, but treatments bring on excruciating visions of blood, chains and mutilation of a girl; none of which makes any sense to the man.  With no hope inside he leaves the hospital. Now alone and on the streets, he meets and befriends Stan, a young boy who agrees to help him recover his identity.  But in exchange, he wants the man to help him dig up information about Bob, his mentally abusive stepfather.  
Are they future events in the life of Stan?  And if this is true, does that make the man and Stan the same person?
