Dr. Watson: "Mr. Holmes why are you drinking your scotch in a mug?"

Sherlock Holmes: "Elementary my dear Watson, I am drunk! Now this is what I have observed....hick!!"

What your choice of mug may or may not tell about yourself:

  Pac man ghost mug

You are thirtysomething. You loved your Atari and Commodore 64 games. You still listen to audio tapes.

Rolling stone mug

You like tight pants and long unkempt hair. You hope one day ‘flares’ would be back in fashion.

Whatever mug

You are opinionated and like to annoy others once in a while. You hate social gatherings and love Chinese food.

Saturday Night Fever

You would love to salsa but have two left feet. You tend to have your m... What mug are you?

I watched the first ’Back to the Future’ when I was 8! Yup the glorious 80’s, when the King of Pop (god bless his soul) was still black, bell bottoms had just been replaced by pleats and Twitter was a term only used by ornithologists (dont u like the way it sounds?).

So I was hooked, big time! I mean Michael J. Fox was my god, we shared the same hyperactivity, clumsiness and a pechant for getting into trouble :). I couldn’t stop watching this over and over again till my alter ego become Marty McFly, baseball jacket et al. The next two parts were pure nirvana, ok maybe till I watched ’Inception’ on the big screen, thats another story, maybe in the future.

Imagine my ecstacy when the triology is released as a boxset, remast... Fond memories of the past, going 'back to the future'

Watched it during the weekend. Film noir, tight script, great acting and pure adrenalin. Keeps you guessing on the various permutations and combinations of ’whodunnit’! The ending was not possibly the best ’aha’of moments, but hey it was well worth the watch. The DVD (its a Swedish movie) has the option of both English subtitles or English dubbed. Chose the dub as I find it a bit annoying to read the dialogue and visually absorb the movie. The big screen rendition does justice to the bestseller novel of the same name. Final verdict, a brilliant movie; the best thing to come out of Sweden since Ikea and meatballs ;-)

Just finsihed this book. One sleepless night and a midnight snack to boot. Saudi Arabia in back in the limelight, again. A country with various conflicts and political quick sands, Saudia Arabia is still a land of mystery for most of the world. Robert Lacey’s ’Inside the Kingdom’ is a follow up to his earlier book ’The Kingdom’ (another good read).
The book delves deep into the country’s psyche, from infrastructure, healthcare, education, skilled workers plight to media censorship and the petrodollars.
A very candid book with a fresh perspective to the nation and the turbulence within.
Highly recommended.

All foodies gotta give it to this bloke! He loves what he does. This book is travelogue cookbook of his journey across Spain, Athens, Marrakesh, Venice, Stockholm and the French Pyrenees region. Excellent recipes for entertaining groups of people. Recipes for some of the more offbeat dishes like pran stuffed fish and Moroccan fish and chips have been given as well. A mouthwatering read.

The Alchemist has a simple yet thought provocative message.

Following the story of a sheepherder we learn that life is about following dreams and living your authentic truth.

When we decide to follow a dream or take a risk the universe tries to help us along. A thought provoking and

inspiring read. Highly recommend it. Follow your dream
